Project:
The Maryland Maritime
Center

The Maryland
Maritime Center located
in historic Fell’s Point (second building from the left)
is a 11,200 square foot, one (1) block wide facility which incorporates
a 5,000 square foot Maritime Museum and leaseable office spaces. The
project included structural modifications and replacements, historically
accurate architectural features and millwork trim. The
construction also included a connector addition with elevator
access linking the former Trolley Barn building to the Fell’s
Point Visitor’s Center.
As General Contractor,
F.M. Harvey Construction Co., Inc. assisted the architect and engineer
with incorporating the design into the many small areas of these
existing and new structures to make the museum spaces meet their
temperature and moisture conditioning requirements, and to provide
the Preservation Society with quality, leaseable office space.
